In Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008, you use Data Collector Sets in the Performance Monitor tool (Perfmon.exe) to collect data. However, when the stop condition is reached, the Data Collector Set may not restart as configured. Therefore, the Data Collector Set does not collect data after the stop condition is reached.
This problem occurs when you make the following configurations:
- In the Properties dialog box of the Data Collector Set, you click to select the When a limit is reached, restart the data collector set check box that is located on the Stop Condition tab.
- In the Properties dialog box of the data collector set, you set a value in the Maximum Size field that is located on the Stop Condition tab.
