At the moment we are winetssing a huge campaign to try and soft-soap us into accepting changes like downgrading a and e, because otherwise the managers say our jobs will be at risk. People who should no better, including some prominent and normally mouthy union reps, seem to have swallowed this hook line and sinker and are now doing all they can to try and promote the managment line, ie, trust us, we are really nice people who really have your best interests at heart.Its total rubbish. They are going to downgrade casualty and let the hospital gradually be downgraded and downsized. some are now thinking privatisation would have been a better option than being taken over by central manchester.you are obviously getting well up the noses of the high ups, cos they have had a real go at you on the front page of the latest staff briefing. so you must be doing something right!
