The Xbox 360 has unexpectedly disconnected from the Media Center PC. The error can be caused by network congestion, a network disconnect or because the PC has been turned off. Would you like to reconnect?

When you try to connect to the Internet by using a dial-up or Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connection on a Windows Vista-based Media Center PC, the Xbox 360 console cannot connect. You receive the following error message:

Can’t Contact PC
Your console can’t contact your PC with Windows Media Center. Make sure your PC is on and connected to the network.

The media that you added to a Windows Vista-based Media Center computer after a Media Center Extender was added does not appear in the Media Center Extender library.

When you try to connect an Xbox 360 console to a Windows Vista-based Media Center computer, you receive the following error message:

When you try to add an Windows Media Center Extender, such as an Xbox 360 console, to a Windows Vista Media Center-based computer, you receive the following error message:

Extender Not Found
Setup could not find you Extender.
Verify the Following

• Your Extender is on and connected to the same network as this computer
• Your setup key is correct
• Your firewall is set up to allow UPnP Discovery

When you try to connect an Xbox 360 console to a Windows Vista-based Media Center computer, the connection is not established and you receive the following error message on the Xbox 360 console:

Connection Terminated
The Xbox 360 has been disconnected because an application has launched UI unexpectedly. Would you like to reconnect?

When you try to connect an Xbox 360 console to a Windows Vista-based Media Center computer, you receive one of the following error messages:

Connection Failed
The Xbox 360 cannot connect to the Media Center based PC. Make sure the Media Center based PC is turned on and connected to the network. If you continue to see this error, check Media Center Extender Help on your Media Center based PC.
Connection Failed
The Xbox 360 was unable to prepare a connection to the Windows Vista Media Center-based PC. Restart your Xbox 360 and try again.
