After you install security update 961371 (described in security bulletin MS09-029), you may experience any of the following problems:

• Web pages that use fonts that have a very long string in the name table display with a default font.
• Documents that use these fonts display with a default font when you print them by using a print spooler.
• Attempts to embed the fonts as subsets in Microsoft Word documents or in Microsoft PowerPoint presentations fail.

You print a Microsoft Office Word document two times on a computer that is running Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008. When the document is printed for the second time, incorrect lines are printed on the page.

On a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, you use WinWord.exe to check in a document to a SharePoint server. However, the document changes do not commit to the SharePoint server. You may also receive an error message which resembles the following:

Word did not save the document

This file is read-only

Note: This problem does not occur on a client computer that is running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.

On a computer that runs a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, you install a shared printer. In a Microsoft Office Word 2007 document, you select this shared printer in the Print dialog box to print the document. Then, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

Word has encountered a problem
Show Help

Therefore, you cannot use this shared computer to print the document.

Note: This problem only occurs if the length of the shared printer name is a specific value.

Consider the following scenario:

• You have a computer that is running Windows Vista.
• You select some Asian language text, such as Chinese text, in Microsoft Office Word 2003 or in an earlier version of Word.
• You use the Phonetic Guide feature in Word to apply ruby text to the selected text.

In this scenario, the ruby text is not displayed in the Phonetic Guide dialog box in Word. Additionally, you cannot apply ruby text to the selected text in Word.

Note: You do not experience this issue in Microsoft Office Word 2007.

You print a Microsoft Word document that contains a table on a computer that is running Windows Vista. If the table border consists of dots or of dashes, the table border prints as a solid line instead of as dots or dashes.

When you open the Office Assistant in Microsoft Word 2002 by using Microsoft Works Suite 2006 on a Windows Vista-based computer, you receive the following error message:

The Office Assistant requires Microsoft Agent 2.0 or later.

When you try to install Microsoft Word 2002 template wizards from Microsoft Works Suite 2006 on a Windows Vista-based computer, you receive the following error message:

Error 1706. No valid source could be found.

When you start Microsoft Word 2002 from Microsoft Works Suite 2006 on a Windows Vista-based computer, you receive the following error message:
