When you tried to install or uninstall the product on Windows Vista™, you received the following error message:

Error 2738. Could not access VBScript run time for custom action.

Consider the following scenario:

• You run the release version of Windows Vista in Workgroup mode.
• You install Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1).
• You uninstall Windows Vista SP1.
• You run Windows Vista in Workgroup mode again.

In this scenario, the Microsoft Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ) service does not start. Additionally, an event is logged to indicate that the notify_queue$ queue is not found.

After you uninstall a network adapter in the Device Manager on a Windows Vista-based computer, you receive the following message in the notification area at the far right of the taskbar:

Installing device driver software

Then, the network adapter is automatically reinstalled.

Note: When you uninstall a network adapter in the Device Manager on a Windows XP-based computer, the network adapter is reinstalled only when you right-click Network adapters and then click Scan for hardware changes.
