Consider the following scenario:
- You have a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista.
- Multicast forwarding is enabled.
In this scenario, the system may restart repeatedly with different Stop error codes, such as 0×0000001E or 0×000000D1. Or, the system may stop responding. This problem does not occur if you disable multicast forwarding.

A Windows Vista-based computer or a Windows Server 2008-based computer may restart unexpectedly. Additionally, you may receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:

Note: The four parameters in the “STOP 0×0000010E” error message may vary, depending on the actual configurations.
This problem typically occurs when you are running an application that requires lots of graphics processing. For example, this problem may occur when you play a video game on the computer.

A computer that is running an x64-based version of Windows Server 2003, of Windows Vista, or of Windows Server 2008 randomly restarts and then generates a Stop error. The Stop error code may be 0×0000001E, 0×000000D1, or another Stop error code.
This problem occurs after you install update 932596 on the computer.

When you have a Windows Vista-based computer that is connected to a USB optical disc drive, and you resume the computer from Standby, you may receive a error message that resembles one of the following error messages:
STOP: 0×000000E4 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
STOP: 0×0000000A (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
Notes
- The parameters in the error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
- This issue may occur on a computer that is running Windows Vista, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1), or Windows Server 2008.
- Not all “0×000000E4″ or “0×0000000A” Stop errors are caused by this problem.

You may experience one or more of the following symptoms on a Windows Vista-based or a Windows Server 2003-based computer that uses a Hewlett-Packard (HP) printer:
- When you try to install a printer, the Add Printer Wizard stops responding.
- The computer stops responding.
- The print spooler stops responding.
