When you start the computer, you may receive the following error message:
This copy of Windows is not genuine.
This problem may occur when you start the computer for the first time after one of the following events:
- Windows Vista is first installed by a computer manufacturer.
- You recover Windows Vista.
Note: This problem may occur only when you start the computer for the first time. If you do not receive the error message after you restart your computer, your computer has recognized Windows Vista as a genuine version.

You use the Windows Complete PC Restore program in the Windows Recovery Environment utility on the Windows Vista installation disc. You try to restore a computer from a Windows Complete PC Backup and Restore image. Then, you receive the following error message:
System Recovery Option
This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of Windows.
