Consider the following scenario:

  • You are using a Windows Vista-based computer.
  • You use the Ease of Access Center in Control Panel to configure accessibility settings and options. For example, you configure On-Screen Keyboard.
  • You configure On-Screen Keyboard so that it starts automatically every time that you log on to the computer, and then you lock the computer. On-Screen Keyboard is displayed on the logon screen of the locked computer.
  • You close On-Screen Keyboard.

In this scenario, when you log on to the computer again, On-Screen Keyboard does not start automatically.
