When you try to install Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Server 2008 or for Windows Vista, you receive the following error message:
One or more drivers may be incompatible. The driver listed below might be incompatible with Vista Service Pack 2. Check to see if a solution is available, and then restart the installation after the problem is resolved. MSDSM – Please read Microsoft Knowledge Base article 967752
If you click Ignore and Continue, you receive the following error message:
Installing Windows Vista Service Pack 2 might cause some drivers to stop working correctly. Are you sure you want to continue?
You receive the error message if you try to install Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Server 2008 or for Windows Vista after you install the August 2009 Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 Application Compatibility Update (KB972036).

When you try to upgrade the video driver on a Windows Vista-based computer, the screen may go blank. In this situation, nothing happens when you move the mouse or when you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. If you turn off the power and then restart the computer, the desktop is displayed correctly. However, you receive an error message that states that the newly installed driver is incompatible with Windows Vista.
