Consider the following scenario:
- You connect more than one monitor on a Windows Vista-based or Windows Server 2008-based computer.
- On a secondary monitor, you put a Windows Explorer window into full-screen mode by pressing the F11 key.
In this scenario, when you move the pointer to the top of the screen, the Windows Explorer navigation bar does not appear.
Notes:
- The navigation bar appears if the Windows Explorer window is maximized instead of in full-screen mode.
- The navigation bar appears if you switch out of full-screen mode by pressing the F11 key.

Consider the following scenario:
- You connect a Windows Vista-based computer to a network projector.
- You use Windows Photo Gallery to display an image in full-screen mode (slideshow mode).
In this scenario, the image is successfully displayed in full-screen mode on the computer. However, the image is not displayed on the network projector. Instead, you receive the following message on the network projector:

This issue occurs if the Windows Experience Index rates the computer’s Graphics and Gaming functionality with a score of 3.0 or more.

Consider the following scenario:
- You are using a Windows Vista-based computer.
- You have Aero Glass disabled, or the video card does not support this mode.
- You are playing a video in Microsoft Windows Media Player.
- You are playing the video in full-screen mode.
- You right-click the full-screen video to display a shortcut menu.
In this scenario, the video playback window becomes unresponsive. If you press CTL+ALT+DEL to exit full-screen mode, Windows Media Player functionality returns.

Consider the following scenario:
- On a Windows Vista-based portable computer, you run Windows Media Center in full-screen mode.
- The portable computer has a wide screen, and the screen resolution has been configured for wide-screen resolution. For example, the screen resolution is set to 1280 by 800 pixels.
- You connect the portable computer to an external monitor by using an S-Video connection.
- You try to switch the screen to the external monitor by using the function key on the portable computer.
Note: The particular function key to switch the screen between monitors varies, depending on the computer manufacturer.
In this scenario, you may notice that the screen has been successfully switched to the external monitor. However, the screen is black, or it appears to be otherwise broken.

You may find that some 16-bit DOS-based programs do not run in full-screen mode in Windows Vista. You cannot set a Command Prompt (CMD) windows to display in full-screen mode.
