Windows Vista may fail to enumerate disk devices on an ATA Flash PC Card when resuming from hibernation. This behavior may be seen in the following scenario.

  1. Insert a USB PC Card into laptop.
  2. Allow the laptop to enter hibernation.
  3. While the laptop is hibernated, remove the USB PC Card and replace it with the ATA Flash PC Card.
  4. Resume from hibernation.

If you are using the Flash Player Distribution License, then when you install Adobe Flash Player 9 using the standalone EXE installer on the Japanese version of Windows Vista, the installation fails.

When you try to use Windows Internet Explorer 7 to display a Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file on a local computer, Internet Explorer 7 cannot display the SVG file. This problem occurs if the Web page that is used to display the SVG file has the following characteristics:

  • It contains an <embed > tag.
  • It uses the Mark of the Web (MOTW) feature to bypass the Local Machine Zone Lockdown feature.

This problem also occurs when you try to display Macromedia Shockwave Flash (.swf) files. This problem does not occur in Internet Explorer 6.
