You connect a Media Center Extender to a Windows Vista-based computer that includes the Windows Media Center feature. When you start TV playback on the computer, Windows Media Center stops responding for about 30 seconds.

• Poor video quality
• Slow performance
• Video content does not play

When you install Microsoft Windows Live OneCare on a Windows Vista-based computer, you cannot connect to the Windows Media Center Extender for Windows Vista.

On a computer that is running Windows Vista, if you configure a firewall after you install a Windows Media Center Extender device, the device may not work.

When you try to add an Extender to a Windows Vista-based Media Center PC, you receive the following error message:

Configuration Error
An error was encounter while configuring your computer for use with this extender.

The media that you added to a Windows Vista-based Media Center computer after a Media Center Extender was added does not appear in the Media Center Extender library.
