When you have User Account Control (UAC) functionality enabled in Windows Vista, and then you try to start certain tools at a command prompt, you experience the following behavior:
- The User Account Control dialog box appears.
- When you click Continue in the User Account Control dialog box, the tool runs. However you cannot type any more commands at the command prompt until you exit the tool.
For example, you experience this behavior when you start the following tools:

When you drag a file or a folder to a Command Prompt window in Windows Vista, the path of the file or the path of the folder does not appear in the Command Prompt window as expected.
Note: If you perform the same action in Microsoft Windows XP, the path of the file or the path of the folder appears in the Command Prompt window.

When you use Magnifier in Windows Vista and you enter data at a command prompt, Magnifier does not automatically follow the cursor.
