WHEA request does not disable the processing of machine check errors in a 32-bit version of Windows Server 2008 or of Windows Vista
Consider the following scenario:
- You have a computer that is running a 32-bit version of Windows Server 2008 or of Windows Vista.
- You enable the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA) feature.
- You send a WHEA request to disable the processing of machine check errors.
In this scenario, the operating system incorrectly polls hardware for machine check errors.
Note: This issue does not occur on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista or of Windows Server 2008.
