On Windows 7 and Vista, when you change the default desktop colors, and you launch a DirectX application that runs full screen, the custom desktop colors may reset back to default settings after you exit the application
Consider the following scenario:
- On Windows 7 and Vista, adjust the default desktop colors (for example, increase the brightness values to maximum). This will change the brightness values on the desktop.
- Launch a DirectX application that will run full screen.
- Exit the application.
When you return to the desktop, the desktop colors may have reset back to default settings.
