“STOP: 0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL” Stop error message when you try to put the computer into hibernation (S4) in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008
You have a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008. When you try to put the computer into hibernation (S4) mode, the system may crash. Additionally, you receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:
STOP: 0x0000000A ( parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
This issue may occur when you have some third-party storage miniport drivers installed on the computer.
Notes:
- The parameters in the Stop error message may vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
- Not all “STOP: 0x0000000A” error messages are caused by this issue.
