Stop error message if under heavy load in Windows Server 2008 and in Windows Vista: “Stop 0×00000050″

On a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista, you may receive the following Stop error when the computer is under heavy load.

Stop 0×00000050 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)


  • The parameters in this Stop error message may vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
  • Not all “0×00000050″ Stop error messages are caused by this problem.

Note: This Stop error occurs in the Srv.sys driver that is used by the Server service. This issue may occur when users access a shared resource on the computer remotely.
