Stop error in Windows Server 2008 when you access a shared network resource: “0×00000027″

On a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista, you receive the following Stop error message:

STOP: 0×00000027 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)


  • The four parameters in this error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
  • Not all “0×00000027″ Stop errors are caused by this problem.

This problem may occur when you access shared network resources by using the Server Message Block (SMB) 2.0 protocol.
