Error message when you use the MBSA tool to check for weak passwords or to assess password security on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista: “Some user accounts have blank or simple passwords, or could not be analyzed”
Consider the following scenario:
- You have a computer that is running Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1), or Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2).
- You use the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) tool to check for weak passwords or to assess password security.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message together with the error code 1721:
