You cannot create an Authorization Manager SQL store in a database that has a case-sensitive collation

Consider the following scenario:

  • You create an instance of SQL Server that has a case-sensitive collation.
  • You select the Microsoft SQL store type when you try to create an authorization store.

In this scenario, the operation fails, and you receive the following error message:

Cannot create a new authorization store. The following problem occurred: Access is denied.

Note: You receive this same error message if the specified database does not exist when you try to create a new authorization store.
