Stop error when multiple third-party network drivers are installed on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista: “0×0000007F” or “0×0000008E”
On a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista, the system generates one of the following stop error codes and then restarts:
0×0000007F (UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP)
0×0000008E (KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED)
This problem typically occurs when multiple third-party network drivers are installed on the computer. For example, this problem may occur when the following drivers are installed:
- VPN client drivers
- Firewall drivers
- Modem/ISDN drivers
- Other network security filter drivers
