You have to enter user credentials again even if you select the “Remember my password” option when you connect to the TS Gateway server from a Windows Vista SP1-based or Windows Server 2008-based Remote Desktop Connection 6.1 client
Consider the following scenario:
- From a Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based or Windows Server 2008-based Remote Desktop Connection 6.1 client, you connect to remote computers or to Terminal Services RemoteApp (TS RemoteApp) applications through a Terminal Server (TS) Gateway server.
- You select the Remember my password option to save the user credentials when you connect to the TS Gateway server.
In this case, if there is a network outage that prevents the connection to the TS Gateway server, you may encounter the Enter your credentials prompt dialog box when you try to re-connect to the TS Gateway server after the network connection is restored. Therefore, you have to enter the user credentials again.
