You may not hear the end of an audio file when you play the audio file on a computer that is running Windows Vista

Consider the following scenario:

  • On a computer that is running Windows Vista, you play an audio file.
  • The playback application uses Media Foundation to render the audio.
  • The last part of the audio file contains distinguishable audio.

In this scenario, you may not hear the end of the audio file. For example, you may not hear the last third of a second of the audio file.
