Severe system performance problems occur on a Windows Vista-based computer after you install HP Digital Imaging Monitor 6.0
On a Windows Vista-based computer, you install the HP Digital Imaging Monitor 6.0 application that is included with Hewlett-Packard’s new printers. After you do this, the HP Customer Participation Program plug-in that is loaded by HP Digital Imaging Monitor may cause severe system performance problems. You may experience an overall slowing of your computer’s performance. Additionally, a constant amount of network bandwidth may be consumed, even though no applications or services seem to use the network.
Note: This problem also occurs on Windows XP-based computers. However, the update for Windows XP will be released separately.
