The index of a 2007 Office offline file is removed from the Windows Search index if you save the file while you are working offline on a Windows Vista-based or Windows Server 2008-based computer

On a Windows Vista-based or Windows Server 2008-based computer, when you save a 2007 Microsoft Office offline file while you are working offline, the index of this file is removed from the Windows Search index.
