The video window may appear black after you resume playback of a DVD or of a VCD on a Windows Vista Media Center-based computer

Consider the following scenario:

  • You are running a Windows Vista Media Center-based computer.
  • You eject a DVD or a Video CD (VCD) from the computer.
  • You reinsert the DVD or the VCD and then resume playback.

In this scenario, the video window may appear black for five seconds or more. In some instances, video playback may not resume at all.
