When a 32-bit application sends an IOCTL_SFFDISK_DEVICE_COMMAND request on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, the device driver returns an incorrect value

Consider the following scenario:

  • You are running a 32-bit application on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista.
  • The application sends an IOCTL_SFFDISK_DEVICE_COMMAND request to a Secure Digital (SD) card.

In this scenario, the device driver returns an incorrect value. This problem occurs even though you have applied hotfix 944240 on the computer.

There is a download that resolves this issue. See Hotfixes for details.
