ShopError message when you open a Web page in Windows Internet Explorer 7: “Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close”
You open a Web page in Windows Internet Explorer 7 on a computer that is running one of the following operating systems:
- Windows Vista
- Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
When you do this, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Then, Windows Internet Explorer 7 exits unexpectedly.
