Has anyone managed to get this update to install successfully? I have tried numerous times, even following MS advice about stopping update service, clearing down files and folders, before restarting the service, but to no avail.

I’ve tried the manual download, but when the update runs, it complains it isn’t for my system, even though I’m running Vista 64bit Business Edition with an Intel E600 (yes I did try both versions of the update).

Out of 13 updates downloaded, this one and another (KB935807) refuse to install….

I’ve finally managed to get this to download and install. I stopped the update service, deleted the file and folder as suggested by MS, but also the downloaded folder and files. Restarted the update service but only selected this update to be downloaded and installed. It downloaded, installed and rebooted fine!! One down, one to go….

has anyone heard if MS even knows this is a problem? biggest software mfr in the world w/OS monopoly and they screw up their own invention? don’t know about anyone else, but im keepin my XP comps goin as long as possible to avoid this vista BS. PLUS,if u want help from MS u gotta pay for it!! Can u say “LINUX”? looks like imma have to dig around in the OS just like XP, ‘98, ‘95, Win 3.1 (well, not so much XP, it’s a good, stable OS w/ not much guess work). hahaha….vista…when will some learn that LESS is MORE. If anyone has a simpler solution than JAMES or discusses w MS, please post/reply. $1000 comp, just keeps updating and restarting after 10 min b/c of stupid OS bug…lame, supa lame! Sorry for rant, but…
