A hotfix is available to install NetMeeting 3.02 on computers that are running Windows Vista
This article describes a hotfix that is available to install Microsoft NetMeeting 3.02 on computers that are running certain versions of Windows Vista.
Microsoft Windows XP is the last client version of Windows that includes NetMeeting. NetMeeting is not included with Windows Vista. However, you may have an environment in which the following conditions are true:
- You have to have NetMeeting for collaboration sessions.
- You are deploying Windows Vista.
To help support the current collaboration sessions in this scenario, a hotfix is available to let you install NetMeeting on Windows Vista-based computers. This version of NetMeeting is intended as a transition tool to help support collaboration sessions when you use Windows XP-based computers together with Windows Vista-based computers in your environment.
You can install NetMeeting 3.02 on 32-bit versions of the following operating systems:
- Windows Vista Business
- Windows Vista Enterprise
- Windows Vista Ultimate
Note: NetMeeting 3.02 is not supported on any other operating systems.
Microsoft is no longer investing in NetMeeting technology. For more information about Microsoft unified communications products, contact a Microsoft support representative.
