After you update a storage device driver on a computer that is running Windows Vista, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
- You are prompted to reactivate Windows Vista.
- You experience reduced functionality in some components, such as Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center.

When you try to save a file in a Microsoft Office program on a Windows Vista-based computer, the save operation may fail. Additionally, a new 0-byte destination file may be generated.
This issue may occur if the following conditions are true:
- The client-side caching (CSC) feature is enabled.
- A program is monitoring the files or folders on the computer.
