A newer version of the Vista SP1 is rumored to be available soon, but if you’ve installed the original SP1 Beta release, it sounds like you’ll first have to uninstall it (or maybe you just don’t want SP1 installed anymore). In the past, service packs weren’t always uninstallable, but thankfully that’s not the case with this one. As it turns out, uninstalling a service pack takes at least as long as installing it, so follow these steps, and get yourself a drink for the wait.
- Click the Start menu and choose Control Panel

- Choose Uninstall a Program from the Programs section of the Control Panel

- On the left, choose View Installed Updates

- In the list of updates, look for Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB936330) and select it

- Choose Uninstall.

- Confirm that you want to uninstall the update

- The uninstall will take some time. Expect at least 10 minutes for the first segment

- You’ll be asked to restart the machine. Say yes, which will result in the computer going through another long segment (similar to the first segment) of ‘Configuring Updates’. After the restart, as the computer reloads, it will continue with even more ‘Configuring Updates’ (again, similar in time to the first segment).

- SP1 Beta is now uninstalled! One side effect that my machine has is that the evaluation watermark remained on my desktop, though after working a bit writing this tip, it magically disappeared.

What if it does not work ??
I tried you method which is the normal way to uninstall something, but it practically doesn’t work for me (error : can’t uninstall every update).
Is there not some other manipulation to do ?

The way t o overcome this is 2 uninstall your virus scan software before you uninstall the beta sp1 , then reinstall virus scan .

worked fine for me. watermark stayed for me though but sp1 beta is gone… I had to uninstall it b/c it was beta and “license expires in 14 days. back up files and install any windows.”
