Hello, I just read this TIP about disabeling User Account Control via the secpol.msc. But when I type in the SearchBox secpol.msc the computer is searching everywhere but there nothing to be found…. Grrr. Do you have any idea what to do to see the security policy? Via the Control Panel? Thx, pitrpaulus

don’t be stupid, don’t disable the UAC!
UAC is one of the best Vista features.

If you type ’sec’ in the Search box you’ll see ‘Local Security Policy’ in the menu. That’s the app you need to open.

Hé Joe; thx for help. I dit what you said and got a whole list with security settings. I made a screenshot out-there. Can I show this to you??
In the list was unfortunately no ‘Local Security Policy’/ maybe the screenshot can help…??
