The Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification for October 2007 has been released, and Vista is in line for three updates this coming Tuesday. Windows Mail and Internet Explorer are each affected, as is Windows itself.
The first, with a rating of “Important”, is for Windows Mail and deals with a Remote Code Execution issue. The next, rated “Critical”, is for Internet Explorer 7, and also deals with a Remote Code Execution issue. Finally, the third is listed as “Important” and relates to a ‘Denial of Service’ issue with Vista. All three issues relate to both the 32 and 64-bit versions of the affected software.
Stop back Tuesday to see the details on each of these updates.
