A hotfix is available to change the daylight saving time for the (GMT+02:00) Cairo time zone in the year 2007 for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista

The government of Egypt announced that the winter time will start one week earlier for the year 2007. This is a special change only for the year 2007 to accommodate the start of the holy month of Ramadan on September 13, 2007. According to this change, the start time and the end time for daylight saving time (DST) for the (GMT+02:00) Cairo time zone are as follows:

  • DST starts at 23:59:59 on the last Thursday of April.
  • DST ends at 23:59:59 on the first Thursday of September.
