An Ultra DMA Mode 5 transfer mode may be listed as an Ultra DMA Mode 2 transfer mode in Windows Vista

Consider the following scenario. You have a Windows Vista-based computer that uses an Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) hard disk. On this computer, you query the transfer mode in Device Manager. In this scenario, Ultra DMA Mode 5 transfer mode may be incorrectly listed as an Ultra DMA Mode 2 transfer mode.
