Performance for a WPF-based program that uses the layered windows feature may be less than expected in Windows Vista
Performance for a Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)-based program may be less than expected in Windows Vista. For example, you may experience jittery animation, a low frame rate, or high CPU usage. This problem occurs if the program uses the layered windows feature. This feature is enabled if the value of the Windows.AllowsTransparency property is set to TRUE.
