I installed this update on the 15 Aug along with 11 others. Today (16 Aug) I noticed that Skype was no longer connecting to it’s P2P network. I began uninstalling the updates, 1 by 1, until Skype was able to connect. This update appears to interfere with the way Skype connects to the internet.

Turns out I was wrong. After extensive testing, and then having Skype intermittently connecting and then disconnecting for no apparent reason, and then finally finding out that Skype’s server had completely crashed over the weekend, I have been able to determine that the update does NOT affect Skype. If Skype has posted on their home page early on, that they were having trouble, I would not have started suspecting the updates. So, sorry for FUD!
