You may be unable to read from a DVD-R disc that was recorded in Windows Vista
After you burn a DVD-R in Windows Vista, you may be unable to read from the disc. When you try to read the disc, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Drive_letter:\ is not accessible.
The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable
When this problem occurs, the disc properties may indicate that the disc contains no files and that the size of the disc is zero.
This problem occurs with specific models of DVD recordable drives. This problem is known to occur with the following models. However, the problem may also occur with other specific models.
- Liteon DVD-ROM LTD163
- Matshita UJDA755
- SONY DRU-510A
- Most DVD drives that were manufactured before 2004
