This update kills all your non WHQL drivers you enabled with “DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS”.
My opinion: Don’t install.
Details on my page “http://maluku.wordpress.com/2007/08/15/kb932596-death-for-non-whql-drivers-under-vista-x64/”

Update failed to install on my Box. System re-booted after configuring/installing the update at the welcome screen. Then when it re-booted the welcome screen failed to show and the system automatically re-booted again and then went to welcome screen and said configuring updates which actually rolled back the update….. Im assuming because it caused boot issues

Update KB932596 refuses to successfully install on my computer. I’m running WVHP (64-bit). Upon trying to install KB932596 the computer requests a reboot, to which I dutifully acquiesce.
During the first reboot, there is a message saying “AUTOCHCK program not found, skipping autocheck” (which is printed on the screen not once, not twice, but three times); that’s write, the same sentence appears thrice on the screen.
Then the computer reboots automagically a second time and I type in my super secret magic password to log onto my user account.
I click on the Windows Update icon in my SysTray to find that update KB932596 has not installed.
Now this is built-in system robustness: Microsoft protects Windows from their own iffy updates. Hip! Hip! Hooray! It’s a silver lining round a dark cloud. Why is everyone so blue about this?
