Error message when you configure the Media Center feature or when a scheduled program guide download occurs in Windows Vista: “Windows Media Center Store Update Manager stopped working”
In Windows Vista, you may receive an error message that resembles the following when you configure the Media Center feature:
Windows Media Center Store Update Manager stopped working and was closed.
A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.
You may also receive this error message when a scheduled Electronic Program Guide download occurs.
When this problem occurs, an error message that resembles the following may be logged in the Application log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event ID: 1000
Description:
