If you can see the updation warning even after the successful installation clean the temperory folder and restart the machine. Now chck for new updates. You can feel the difference. There are no other changes, so if you did properly install it, you don't need to redo it. If so, create it using the command prompt, you'l need admin rights of course. Create the file in the systems32 folder.i.e. at system32\logfiles\firewall Once the log file is created try agin the update, hopefully it should go through. Making sure the "firewall" folder is created is what did it. The problem may be connected to running CCleaner before update is totally installed. IT WORKED!

Looking at the description of the command, it says it will "Set whether a default Transactional Resource Manager will clean its transactional metadata on next mount".
