I tried to play a dvd on a vista laptop that was also connected to a projector via the external vga port. The dvd played on the laptop but flashed a message about not being able to play on the projector because the current environment did not support playing protected material. Any ideas?

Was this a HD-DVD, or just a standard one? Were you using Media Player, or do you have WinDVD or PowerDVD?
