Next Tuesday will bring three security updates for Vista. One is for the OS itself, and two for applications that come preinstalled with Vista. Here’s what you can expect, according to the Microsoft Security Bulletin Advanced Notification for June 2007:
- A patch for an ‘information disclosure’ issue that is rated as moderate for Windows Vista.
- A patch for a ‘remote code ‘execution’ issue that is rated as critical for Internet Explorer 7.
- A patch for a ‘remote code ‘execution’ issue that is rated as critical for Windows Mail, which is being dumped in favor of the new Windows Live Mail.
