The Windows Vista Team Blog is reporting from TechEd 2007 this week. Their first report today mentioned that some great tools for IT Pro’s, which are currently available only through subscription, will become available for download on July 1st. Here’s what you can look forward to, as listed on their site:

• SoftGrid Application Virtualization, with the capability to virtualize and stream an application to the desktop. One customer already using SoftGrid is Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, which estimates that SoftGrid enabled them to save over $1,000,000 in software deployment and support-related activities.
• Advanced Group Policy Management, which provide workflow and change management capabilities to the management of Group Policy objects.
• Asset Inventory Service, which provides reporting of software assets used by an organization.
• Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, which has the capability to recover a Windows machine that has crashed and won’t boot even through safe mode.
