Acrobat updated to integrate with Vista and Office

AcrobatIf you use Acrobat, there is an update waiting for you. Acrobat 8.1 has just become available as an update through the built-in update function. A download version will be available through Adobe’s website later this month.

If I’m talking about it, it must have something to do with Vista. Included in this update is Vista compatibility. Lori DeFurio’s Adobe Blog says:

PDF will preview similar to other supported file formats, and of course, you can create PDF by simply right clicking on supported file formats (Word, Excel, PPT, JPG, etc.)

There is also full integration with Microsoft Office 2007, now becoming a ‘first-class citizen’, and compatibility with 64-bit Windows and Citrix. Finally, the free Reader version is now available for download, though it unclear what changes made it into this version.
