Like yesterday’s tip, this one is from the How-To Geek. If you access your Home directory a lot, or the folders within it, it might save you some time to have a shortcut to it on your desktop. Just like doing this with your Computer icon, it’s easy to setup.
- Click on your Start menu.

- Right-click on your ‘Home’ folder, which would be a the top of the Start menu’s right column, and is named with your logon name.

- Choose Show on Desktop from the menu that pops up.

- Enjoy having your Home icon on your desktop!
