Using Vista’s Speech to Control Robot

Someone demonstrating the use of Vista’s voice recognition to control a remote control robot. Not sure if this one is real or not as their is lots of background noise (sounds like a party going on) yet almost every command is picked up properly.

I’ve been using Filetopia chat program for about 10 years (www.filetopia.org). It’s particularly friendly for us seniors because of the robot voice which reads the chat text aloud, until Vista came along.

All the usual program sounds work fine… but the darned robot has laryngitis! I’ve tried several fixes for this, without success. I would hate to think the Filetopia application needs to be re-written to accomodate Vista! I’ve tried running it as administrator, running in program files, and running in C:\ directory. No luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
