Error message when you resume a Windows Vista-based computer from sleep or from hibernation: “Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection”
When you resume a Windows Vista-based computer from sleep or from hibernation, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.
This problem may occur when you play a DVD in Windows Media Player 11, you pause the DVD, and then you put the computer to sleep. You receive the error message when you resume the computer from sleep or from hibernation.
Additionally, when you click Play in Windows Media Player 11 after this problem occurs, the DVD starts at the beginning of the video.
