A Windows SideShow-compatible device or the related Gadgets do not work reliably in Windows Vista
You may experience any of the following problems when you use a Windows SideShow-compatible device in Windows Vista:
- When you start the computer, or when you reset the Windows SideShow-compatible device, Gadgets that have previously been enabled are not loaded on the Windows SideShow-compatible device.
- When you open the Windows SideShow item in Control Panel, you may see the following message shown for each gadget in the column that corresponds to your device:
Not Compatible
- The Language and Theme boxes in the Change Device Settings window are blank.
- When you try to synchronize music or photos to your SideShow-compatible device by using Windows Media Player 11, the SideShow gadgets may fail and no longer work.
- When you try to turn the SideShow gadgets on or off, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
One or more gadgets could not be turned on or off
